Ang “Yellow Rose” ay dinirek ni Diane Paragas at tungkol sa isang 17-year-old Fil-American teenager named Rose who dreams of becoming a country music star.
“I am so humbled that our film has been chosen for this honor,” sey pa ni Paragas sa kanyang interview sa Deadline.com and LAtfUSA.com.
Dagdag pa niya: “‘Yellow Rose’ has taken over 15 years to make and it couldn’t come at a more important time when anti-immigrant sentiment is at an all-time high. This is a story for everyone facing challenges in finding their voice, their dreams and, more importantly, their home.”
The LAAPFF runs from May 2 to 10, with film screenings in Little Tokyo and L.A. Live Entertainment Center.
